01How I work

Three phases. One engagement. Built so it keeps going after I leave.

Time-boxed. Confidential. Senior-on-senior. No army of juniors, no template decks, no open-ended retainers. The work is designed so your team can run it without me from week one.

02The three phases

Phase 01

Assess

Diagnostic across data, infrastructure, governance, operating model, and the unspoken parts. We name what's actually getting in the way and what's working that nobody's noticed yet. Outputs that hold up in a board meeting.

Phase 02

Design

Target operating model, data product blueprint, AI-readiness roadmap, and the value framework that ties them to commercial outcomes. Outputs your board signs off on. Outputs your teams can use.

Phase 03

Execute

Embedded counsel during build-out. Coaching leads, unblocking decisions, redrafting plans when reality intrudes. Quiet, present, accountable, until the capability is yours.

03Engagement formats

Four ways to work together, sized to your decision.

Each format is time-boxed. Each has a named deliverable. You always know what you're paying for and when it ends.

Advisory call
A single 45 to 90 minute confidential conversation. Bring a specific decision, an open strategic question, or a problem you can't yet name. Walk out with a clearer next move.
45–90 min · single session
Diagnostic sprint
A two to three week deep scan across data, infrastructure, governance, and operating model. Output: maturity score, prioritised gap analysis, a roadmap your leadership team can sign off and your platform team can execute.
2–3 weeks · diagnostic
Strategy blueprint
Six to eight weeks. Target operating model designed across the utility, data product, and data mesh planes. Stakeholder alignment, costing, sequencing, and the change-management framing your platform team executes against.
6–8 weeks · blueprint
Embedded engagement
Eight to sixteen weeks of part-time embedded counsel through the build. Two or three working sessions a week with the delivery team. Coaching leads, unblocking decisions, leaving documentation and runbooks your team owns.
8–16 weeks · embedded

04What you get

The principles every engagement carries.

Senior-on-senior

You work with me directly. No junior consultants on a learning curve charged at senior rates. No partner-on-pitch / associate-on-delivery handoff. The person you scoped with is the person you work with.

Time-boxed

Every engagement has a start, a finish, a named deliverable. No open-ended retainers. You should know exactly what you're getting and when it ends. If the scope shifts, we pause and reagree.

Ownership-first

Outputs ship with your team's names on them. Documentation, runbooks, decision logs, frameworks: all yours, written so the work continues after I leave. The point of the engagement is that you don't need me twice.

Direct

Plain language. No consultant-speak. Willing to name the uncomfortable truth. If the strategy you're already running is the wrong one, I will tell you. Better to hear it from me than the auditor.
